The impact of temperature adjustment on product quality is reflected in the following aspects:

1. Deformation.

Stable mold temperature and balanced cooling rate can reduce product deformation. For products with inconsistent wall thickness and complex shape, deformation often occurs due to uneven shrinkage. Therefore, an appropriate cooling system must be used to keep the temperature of each part of the mold and core basically uniform, so that the temperature in the cavity can be improved. The plastic melt can solidify simultaneously.

2. Dimensional accuracy.

Using the temperature adjustment system to keep the mold temperature constant can reduce fluctuations in the molding shrinkage of the product and improve the stability of the dimensional accuracy of the product. Using a lower mold temperature when possible can help reduce the molding shrinkage of the product. For example, for crystalline plastics, because the mold temperature is low, the crystallinity of the product is low, and the lower crystallinity can reduce the shrinkage rate. However, low crystallization is not conducive to the dimensional stability of the product. From the perspective of dimensional stability, it is necessary to increase the mold temperature appropriately to make the product crystallize uniformly.

3. Mechanical properties.

For crystalline plastics, the higher the crystallinity, the greater the chance of stress cracking of the product. Therefore, from the perspective of reducing stress cracking, it is beneficial to lower the control temperature.

4. Surface quality

Increasing the mold temperature can improve the surface quality of the product. Too low a mold temperature will make the outline of the product unclear and produce obvious fusion lines, resulting in an increase in surface roughness of the product.

When selecting the mold temperature, it is also necessary to focus on meeting the product performance requirements according to the usage conditions.
